During my time in hospital for prostate cancer surgery, all went well and staff are doing a good job, but there should be more of them as they never stop and it looked to me like they often went without their breaks. I think there is too much paperwork that they have to deal with which takes up a lot of their time. The surgeon was very professional and talk through the procedure of the operation thoroughly. Extremely pleasant and helpful.
On return home the district nurses were caring and helpful and responded well to provide incontinence pads.
The down side of my experience is trying to contact someone on the telephone. Ether the lines are engaged, listening to recorded messages and failure of a return call when given assurance that they would ring back. This I feel is again due to the pressure of work the staff are under. I think you should employ more staff to do the office work and leave the medical staff to deal with patient care.
