After seeing an excellent Doctor at my medical centre he asked me to arrange to have some blood tests.
I went to speak to someone on the desk who said that the earliest appointment was in 3 weeks time. After I queried the length of time they immediately offered one next Tuesday!
As I am currently on holiday I asked if it was possible to have anything this week. The response was only if the Doctor says so. I asked if they could ask the Doctor and when they came back I had my bloods taken by the nurse (no queue) within 10 minutes!
What really annoyed me was a remark from this member of staff said in a very patronising way i.e. "This is a favour".
