(as a parent/guardian),

My 12 year old daughter came to Outwood Ward for day surgery.

Both nurses on duty, although extremely busy, were excellent with her as she was very nervous.

One however was outstanding. I want to commend Ellen Parker for the way in which she explained every detail of what would happen in an accessible way without patronising my daughter or scaring her. She really had an excellent manner and an ability to multi task, somehow reassuring my daughter whilst making beds and preparing for new patients.
