About: Golden Jubilee National Hospital / Cardiac Surgery

(as the patient),

I was a patient recently in the Golden Jubilee, Clydebank where I had the most wonderful care.

I went into hospital to have an aortic valve replacement operation and though there were a few hiccups afterwards everybody was kind and caring and helped me through all the downs. All the staff (doctors, nurses, cleaners and catering staff) were all friendly, cheerful and chatty and were always helpful and kind.

The hospital was kept very clean and the shower was so clean you could have eaten your meal from the floor of it.

The food was not very tempting and even the small portions were too large. The lentil soup was excellent.

We are really pleased that you feel you had wonderful care - we believe our staff do a great job and it's nice to hear that our patients do too - and will be sure to pass your kind comments on to all those who looked after you during your stay.

I agree that the lentil soup is excellent but am sorry to hear that you did not like a lot of the food and that you felt the portions were too large. We are always looking at ways to improve, so please let us know if you have any ideas for what we can do to improve this in the future.
