"Well informed about length of delay"

About: New Victoria Hospital / Ophthalmology

(as a carer),

Whilst supporting a gentleman with learning disabilities to an eye appointment at the New Victoria Hospital recently, a nurse posted the length of delays to 2 of the clinics. Whilst not amused at the delay, these things do happen. It was refreshing and pleasing to have the information as to how long the delay was. An excellent idea and one I hope can be transferred to other NHS Services.

Thank you for your feedback, I was very pleased to read that you appreciated being advised of the delays, which are sometimes unavoidable.

The staff in the Unit will be delighted to read your comments as they have initiated this system in response to other feedback they've had via Patient Opinion. They'll be glad to know it's working well and be able to share this with colleagues.
