I have suffered with a 30 year old sports injury which basically destroyed my right knee. I have managed to cope with the condition with some moderate medical intervention to keep me going over the last few years.
Unfortunately I had an accident at work which caused a significant change in my circumstances and produced so much pain that I was finding difficult to cope. There was not a sitting, laying or moving position that didn’t produce excessive amounts of pain; I couldn’t sleep at all even when completely shattered.
Finally after a desperate plea to my GP’s I was referred to the Community Pain Team and what a change to my life they have made.
I would like to express my sincere thanks to the Hull Community Pain Team who have allowed me to copy with extreme pain in my life through disability. They have applied and showed me techniques to control and copy with my condition which will help me for the rest of my life.
Both Kate Cowl and Dr Mie Mie Kiang have been so supportive and understanding of my difficulties that it is hard to express my thanks in words. I hope this small token of my appreciation goes some way to saying THANK YOU.
