"The way they treated my injuries was stupendous"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Accident & emergency

(as the patient),

After falling and causing a deep gash to my forehead, my daughter drove me to this hospital. After I was processed through to a cubicle, a very nice and efficient nurse got me prepared for a doctor to attend to my injury. The way they treated my injuries was stupendous. The nurse hooked me up to the equipment and prepared the way for the doctor who skillfully with the assistance of the nurse got me prepared for my journey to the room for chest x rays and then the ward. After a short time, I was questioned and examined by initially the nurse, then by a doctor before being taken to the ward.

Finally I had a possible reason for my mishap explained to me by a consultant who told me what was happening with my heart and how treatment could help improve my condition with pills and possibly warfarin.

Thanks to all staff. I feel lucky.
