I had cancer of the gullet and was in Doncaster Royal Infirmary. I was operated on by Mr Clive Kelly, a very good surgeon, also I had a stent put in by Mr George Ward, I think that was his surname.
The nurses told me that if there was any problems after surgery Mr ward an excellent surgeon would solve them. I also had two very good Macmillan Nurses in Yvonne and Jacky, but I am sure that all the Macmillan nurses are brilliant at their profession.
I was looked after like royalty on the high dependancy ward in Doncaster. The doctors and nurses were first class. I think that Doncaster Royal Infirmary and Western Park are the two finest hospitals in the country in my experience, but I have only been in seven. I think dr Waasley and his nursing staff at Western Park are brilliant, I would like to thank Mary Petch a dietician at Doncaster for the drinks she perscribed also Rotherham Met Borough Council for delivery.
