I am a pensioner. Yesterday I broke a tooth. Today I called my hitherto helpful NHS dentist to make an appointment to have it repaired only to be told that if I wanted treatment I would have to pay privately as the practice had 'run out of funding. '
I had heard of this happening in other practices the past but thought that the problem had been addressed.
