"My Father's care at the Larkfield unit"

About: Larkfield Unit

(as a relative),

My father initially entered ward 4 and did very well there, he progressed so well that he was transferred to ward 3 for rehabilitation. Within the first week in that ward his condition had deteriorated back to pre-admission levels, there appeared to be no communication between nursing teams and the concerns and experiences of the family were ignored to the point that a urine infection was ignored for three days and sedation was administered as the patient was being 'difficult'. Our concerns are 'being addressed' however we are not confident about my fathers care now or in the forseeable future.

Thank you for your feedback, I was very sorry to read that you were so unhappy with the care and treatment offered to your father, I can see that you have formalised these concerns and I hope that your concerns are addressed fully and to your satisfaction through this process.

Paul
