"Brilliant care for my husband"

About: East Surrey Hospital East Surrey Hospital / Accident and emergency East Surrey Hospital / Cardiology South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust

(as a relative),

My husband collapsed at home in early July with chest pains. The Ambulance Service arrived promptly and immediately connected my husband to an ECG machine, which diagnosed cardiac dysrhythmia (irregular heart rate). He was then taken to East Surrey Hospital.

The paramedics - Craig and his partner - were absolutely brilliant, "couldn't ask for any more".

On arrival at the hospital my husband was taken to resuscitation where the doctors successfully performed CPR. He was then transferred to the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) where the medical nurses and doctors were all fantastic.

Overall, the care and attention my husband received was brilliant. He was fitted with a pacemaker and returned home inside a week.
