"Making an appointment to see consultant ref replacement knee joint"

About: Torbay Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I tried ringing the number approximately 5 times and had the busy tone every time.

I rang the Patients Helpline who informed me I was ringing the wrong number.

the writing was so bad I was misreading 6's for 8's. and the speciality was written as Oalopaedic. It was obviously written by a left handed person as the E's were written like reverse 3's.

Once I was through to the patient helpline the receptionist was pleasant and helpful in putting me through to the correct department.

They too were very helpful and efficient

Dear ‘Buster 40’,

I am sorry to hear you had so much difficulty getting through to the right number, the information you received would have been given to you by your practice instructing you to ring DART (Devon Access and Referral Team).

I would like to opportunity to feedback to the practice to help to avoid this for other patients and to make sure they have the information they need.

If you are happy to, please reply to this post to let me know which practice you are with or alternatively you can contact me on 01626 883712, I work Monday to Friday, 9 until 5.

Best wishes
