"Waiting to be seen at Royal Gwent A@E"

I went to the A&E department at Newport today for a small cut that needed stitches.

On arrival there were only four people waiting. After two and a half hours of waiting I asked how long would it be before I would be seen?

The reply I received by a very rude nurse was if you think 2 1/2 hours is a long time mate, then you should go over the other side you will wait a lot longer over there.

They then told me I would be next to be seen. A further four people were seen before me, a further 3/4 of an hour went by. I left without treatment.

My views on the staff at a/e Newport hospital is that some are not caring for their patients.
