Initial telephone contact on a recent evening by call handler was good, providing reassurance that my call for my poorly 35 month old boy would be considered by the GP promptly. They took a very good history & description of symptoms from me.
However unfortunately the interpersonal skills of the GP concerned were particularly lacking on their return call. They did not improve during consultation & the GP seemed to have difficulty retaining information, asking same questions repetitively. Frankly I found them rude & arrogant.
If this is the normal standard of "customer care" I would be discouraged to use this service again & instead visit the A&E dept in Hull instead - a behaviour which the NHS is working hard to reduce I understand?
In addition I would echo previous comments regarding posters & information on display.
