My brother in law had major surgery 3 months ago and recovered well but then suddenly was again in severe pain. I took him to A & E with dread knowing that we could have a long wait. How wrong can I be...
Reception first, the lady was friendly, polite and proffesional and suddenly he was in the system. I was then called to see the staff nurse who introduced herself as Caroline. She wanted more information. She was first class and a credit to the department. She put the patient at ease, answered questions and got things sorted so quickly a great big thank you to her for that.
Waiting to see a doctor no one appeared quickly and again sorted things rapidly and a surgical registrar appeared.
From start of going into A&E seeing staff nurse, doctors, blood tests xrays and getting to a ward was under 3 hours - that is a brilliant service and all the staff involved should be made aware of how much they were appreciated.
"We are so appreciative of all the staff"
