"My father was treated with respect and dignity"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Accident & emergency

(as a relative),

My father was bought into A&E where he recieved excellent care from the doctor and nurse. I was kept informed at all times as to what tests were being carried out and why they had to be carried out.

He then went into acute assessment where all nursing staff and doctors looked after him. They also made me, his Daughter, feel at ease at all times. The nurses kept me informed as to the progress of my father.

I felt at ease that I could talk to the nurses about any doubts that I had. They were able to re-assure me that everything was being done to heal my father. My father also felt at ease, as the nurses were taking the time to explain his medical state to him.

The doctors and nurses were friendly and the hospital was clean. It was reassuring that my father was in good hands by the care and attention he was getting. I thank all the medical staff that attended to him; their dedication is gratefully appreciated.

My father was treated with respect and dignity.
