"Movement from ward to ward"

About: Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust

(as the patient),

I was taken to Barnsley Hospital with Chest Pain/black out etc. A&E were excellent, didn't have to wait more than 2 hrs and then sent to ward 17.

After a few hours of doctors seeing to me, I was transferred to another ward for approximately a couple of hours, then taken to another ward at around 11.30/midnight. I could not believe this was happening, in fact I have never seen this sort of disruption to patients who are pretty ill, besides, look at the ungodly hour transfers are made.

It's not only the patient being carted from one ward to another, but the ward patients being disturbed with the amount of noise. Surely this is not a good idea?

Whilst in the final ward (thank God I ended here) I learnt that some patients were moved at around 3am in the morning - what is going on? I have been told that this is something that happens all the time, why??

Do your Bed Managers/Allocation team not realise how the patients feel? I really feel its completely out of order to treat the patients like this, after all, patients do not have much choice, do they?
