"Great care, but it would just be good to still know someone was there"

About: Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust

(as a service user),

I had some really bad mental health experiences a while ago and got help from psychiatrists, psychologists and particularly Occupational Therapists. They helped me get my life back and also get involved with the work of the Trust.

I would though like to say something about aftercare--it feels that when it was felt I was better all the care seemed to stop and I got left to get on with it.

It would be good to still know someone was there.

Thankyou for your comments about our services. It's great to hear that the care we provided helped you cope with the mental health problems you faced. Our staff will be delighted to hear this. The points you raise about the after-care are really important and highlight a potential gap in the way our services are managed. In order to explore this further please could you contact me, the Trust's Service User Experience Manager, at steven.edwards@lancashirecare.nhs.uk.
