After being admitted to Bournemouth hospital with excruciating pain, i was told i had a 9" cyst on my Fallopian tube and I would need to have a operation.
After being sent my confirmation letter, i received a letter the day before to cancel. The reason - the surgeon was on strike so it is rescheduled.
I then received a phone call the day before to say that i was to come in later than expected.
When i checked in i was told that i would have a 2 - 3 hour wait.
After waiting the 2.5 hours wait i saw the surgeon who I found really rude may i say. I was then told the surgeon was too busy to do the full operation but all he was going to do was an examination (not what i was booked in for).
In the end, the surgeon didn't even do the examination himself but some other surgeon did.
I was then taken back to the ward to not even see this surgeon or anyone from his team but get told by a nurse that they had gone home as their shift was finished and that if i wanted the results I would have to phone back on Monday.
I think this experience is absolutely disgusting.
"A series of let downs and no operation."
