(as the patient),

I have been supported a few times by the team at Malham House over the last few years when I have suffered from episodes of depression.

I always found the staff really supportive, compassionate and sensitive to my needs. I was always given information about my condition and treatment options which helped me feel involved in my care.

I have seen a couple of consultants for physical health problems recently and it has made me realise that the standards of care and levels of patient involvement at the LGI & St James's do not come close. I would like to thank Dr Dixon in particular for her support.

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your thoughts and experience.

I am Sean Devanny and am a Clinical Lead in the team.

It is always good to hear from people who use our service and feel that they have received an excellent standard of care. The staff in the West North West Community Team (Malham House) strive to achieve high standards of care at all times when working with service users.

I stress ‘working with’, which makes it particularly encouraging to read that you felt involved in your care. This is really important to us, and is precisely how we wish people to experience their care.

It is also wonderful to receive your comments on the sensitive and caring approach that you have experienced. I’d like to thank you again for all your feedback and I will ensure this is communicated to the wider team, including Dr Dixon.
