About: Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford) / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

Following an accident in a hotel in Plymouth causing severe pain in my right knee, my wife had to drive home and we ended up going to the above hospital on the way home due to the severity of pain at the time during our trip home.

We went into the A&E section where the staff were most helpful arranging for me to be checked out first by the nurse who quickly arranged for me to see a doctor.

In no time I was seen by a doctor who quickly diagnosed the problem with my knee, gave me clear advice about what to do next and even went off and obtained a bag of ice and pain killers to use there and then!

I felt the service was truly excellent. This was to me a clear demonstration of dedicated staff who deserve nothing but praise for doing an excellent work in behalf of the general public, often no doubt under trying circumstances.
