I'm a volunteer driver for age concern. I bring people from their homes to their appointment at North Devon District Hospital.

I've always had a good impression of outpatients - it seems to run pretty smoothly and I'm not usually waiting long for people.

I've also had a few appointments at the hospital myself through the years and I've always been treated well by the staff. I don't have anything to complain about. I really enjoy this volunteering role because otherwise I'd be lonely - I enjoy talking to people and also people watching!

No complaints about the hospital at all.

Thank you for taking the time to comment on your experience as a volunteer driver for patients attending outpatients .

I'm really pleased to see that you are impressed with the outpatient departments. As you have probably noticed there have been alot of changes to outpatients over the last two years, with the aim of improving the environment and patient waiting times, and we are hearing from patients that it has made a big difference to their visits, and waiting times have come down.

I would like to take this opportunity of thanking you, and all volunteers that help our patients, for the time you give to support patients who have difficulty in getting to their appointments, the Trust really does value the service you provide. Without the valuable team of volunteers, who ensure patients get to their appointments on time, the outpatient department would not run so smoothly.

I am also really pleased that you enjoy your 'work' as I know our patients are very grateful for your time.
