"Ambulance Crew May 10th Peterlee to James Cook Hospital"

About: North East Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust The James Cook University Hospital

(as a relative),

The ambulance crew were called to my son's house on May 10th in Peterlee after he had a massive heart failure. When the ambulance first arrived at my sons they were not quite sure what the problem was but got straight on to finding out.

That crew worked tirelessly with my son for at least 15 minutes because to all intensive purposes he was dead but they never gave up. Eventually they managed to get a weak pulse and after securing my son in the ambulance they headed for North Tees Hospital.

I was sat in the front with them so i saw what they did, the care that they gave and the sheer determination to save my son's life even though his heart kept failing on the way. They finally decided to go to James Cook University Hospital and the driver said to me, "if there is anywhere that can save his life they can".

I would like to thank that crew as i never got the chance because if it was not for them, my son would not be here for me to tell this story and I feel really humbled as a person to even be lucky enough to have known them.

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
