"My daughters need to be seen by a specialist after 2 yrs of useless diagnosis"

About: Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust / Adult mental health

(as a relative),

My daughter has on-going mental health problems. In my opinion, the psychiatric service has done very little to help her. To me the professionals that see her seem to have tunnel vision, I don't feel they have listened to her problems with an open mind, and it does seem they had already made an assessment without knowing the facts.

Every other month I went with her for appointments. She was asked if things had changed and was she taking her pills? That was about it. One doctor barely looked us in the eye during the appointment.

In the end I insisted that she be refered to a specialist - the first really positive move which we have achieved.

We are really sorry that your daughter had a poor experience of our service and that you do not feel that our staff were responsive to her needs.

If, in the future, you or your daughter have access to our services and they fall short of your expectations, please contact the PALS Office so that we can try and resolve any issues or concerns as quickly as possible.
