""Carers Pamper Session" at Ashley House"

About: Ashley House / Recovery service

(as a carer),

I have been going to Ashley House, Widnes, for 10 months now. My husband was an alcoholic, he died last November of liver disease.

All the staff at Asley House have been very kind to me. Every Wednesday morning I go to the "Carers Pamper Session", sometimes I just sit and cry, other times when I feel okay, I can have a massage, or a facial, reflexology, nails done etc.

All of this is called the "Vida" Salon. When I first started going to Ashley House I was in a terrible state and a girl called Donna helped me so much. She is wonderful. She put me in touch with Tracey and Diana, and these two girls run the "Vida" Salon every Wednesday.

They have been so kind to me and have helped me so much. I can't thank them all enough.

It's my job to ensure that Ashley House is a safe and effective service that offers a warm and friendly space in which people can consider their experience with drugs and or alcohol and plan their future direction.

I am really sorry for your loss. I don’t exactly know how you are feeling but I am sure that by sharing your experience with us other people who may be affected by a loved ones drug or alcohol use will feel encouraged to know there is support and kindness available.

The Vida service that operates from Ashley House offers a host of complimentary therapy and pamper sessions allowing people to unwind and relax, whilst having a coffee and talking to others who may have shared experiences in a relaxed and friendly environment.

Thank you for your kind words
