Normal painkillers did not work at, i knew i needed help, rang gp out of hours they promptly told me to get to nearest a&e but i dont drive and couldnt get into a car anyway with gas and air or morphine first, the ambulance arrived quickly after i explained situation, excellent care and assistance, straight to Solihull hospital was seen promptly and after medication was admitted to Amuy ward for a week. I received excellent care and attention, medication, food, drink, assistance and most importantly nothing was too much trouble, i was discharged to havean mri at Heartlands a few days later.
I received my scan 28/05/2012 and despite being so pleased and shown excellent care, i am still awaiting results of scan due to staff holidays, i know they deserve them and work hard, but my gp will no longer prescribe my diazepam and without i am in pain again, so i need results urgently. i have rung several times and a very helpful secretary tells me results awtg Doctors actioning.
The nhs has always been excellent to me and my family, but my own gripe is the time waiting for results, i worry what's wrong as situation not improving and without strong medication getting worse again.
In general please continue excellent service, but results are important to us patients also, sure you know that anyway.
THANKYOU
