My elderly mother requires her nails cut as she has ingrowing toe nails which previously caused a poisioned foot. However, they started with appointments every 14 weeks. This was far too long and she got the time reduced to 10-12 weeks. However, this is still proving too long for my mother. On the last two occasions she was screaming with pain and covered in sticking plasters. I have tried to speak to the centre regarding this and they have advised that the podiatrist cannot do anything about this. Accordingly, I am now writing a formal letter of complaint as a level of service which provides on going implementation of extremely painful treatment is not acceptable. I do not feel this is an unreasonable expectation as I do not believe anyone would find this acceptable.
