"Helpful and kind staff"

About: Dr Gray's Hospital / General Medicine

(as the patient),

I was admitted through A & E with pneumonia.

The staff are very helpful and kind. If I ask a question and they don’t know the answer they will go and find out and tell me. When my daughters phone the ward the staff are always helpful.

The food is lovely, especially the yoghurt and ice cream.

I did have to wait a long time in A & E (3 hours) for a bed but the doctors and nurses kept me informed.

Suggestions: I am only small and the railings on the bed hurt me when I am getting in and out of bed. Perhaps they could have padding on them?

Thank you for your very positive feedback. I'm glad you were satisfied with the way we looked after you.

I'll take your suggestion about padding or protective covers to a senior nurse meeting and see if we can do something about that.

It may be as simple as removing the bed rails.
