"Dialysis at stobhill hospital "

One of several situations at stobhill dialysis unit but most recently I returned home to find my husband naked and had to bathe to remove his own excrement because how he was treated at stobhill.

At 9.30 am he asked a nurse to go to the toilet, he was offered a commode but he said that it was difficult and he could not manage on his own. He was then left left and because of his condition he konked out and woke at 12.00 p.m. having done the deed but didn’t know it and it seems nobody checked and the nurse had not informed her partner. He arrived at his home covered in excrement and smelling to the high heavens and his driver has had to fumigate his car.

How could a nurse not realise my husband was like this over a period of several hours?. I feel very despondent of this particular unit. When I asked for the nursing sister I was passed on to a nurse but it is a sister’s responsibility. I feel like there are too many staff who do not communicate and this is one of the reasons such a situation arose.
