I was admitted with acute stomach pains, was found to have massive infection and a perforated bowel.
Good nursing from all staff but especially Glynis who really knows how to cheer you up. Lynsey was also fantastic.
I feel there is a lack of communication between the doctors. I was seen by three different doctors and they would give conflicting instructions or advice. For example, one doctor said to stop my antibiotics then another said to go back on them. Again conflicting information was given about whether I would need an operation or not.
On one evening I should have received my tablets at 10 o’clock but did not receive them until 11.15. I was not told why.
I was put into a ward with two very elderly and sick patients. I am young myself and although I am ill, not as ill as others.
The other patients kept me awake whilst they were sick and unwell.
I understand that beds are limited but I would suggest trying to group more ill patients together in one room. Then less sick people would not be disturbed as much.
"Good nursing staff but sometimes conflicting info"
