What I liked

On behalf of my son and with his blessing an immense thankyou for the first class care given when he was admitted with a fractured jaw. The pre-operative and post operative care was second to none. The staff on Ross Tilley ward are person centred and ultra efficient. When pain relief or drinks were requested there was no waiting around. The ward run like a tight ship and the ward sister made night times bearable and still took tme to get to know the patients.

The surgeon did an incredible job and thank god for such an excellent surgeon. My son saw him every step of the way and this is because he takes his time to ensure the patients have good outcomes and person centred care. He is down to earth and transparent and honest and this contributed to a first class service. My son went to outpatients today and was seen quickly and efficiently....Guess who turned up to double check the result of the op and check on patient well being .....his surgeon.

What could be improved

For whatever reason 4 1/2 hours lapsed in minor injuries before any pain relief was given. This took 41/2 minutes to resolve as soon as my son was admitted onto ross tilley ward.

Anything else?

I have been a patient in a few hospitals as well as a seasoned visitor! If you are a patient at QVH and especially a patient of this particular surgeon it willl be the nearest you may get to being given a bespoke service in a private hospital! I kept thinking we was going to be told we were mistaken for someone paying Harley St/Bupa prices.
