"Excellent service"

I recently visited the clinic with a skin complaint and would like to say what a fantastic place this is.

I only waited around 3 weeks before i received a letter to ask me to ring to make an appointment. The lady on the phone was very helpful, offering various dates for me to attend that fitted around my work schedule (unlike the main hospital where a date is sent out through the post, which is usually not convenient and trying to change it is made to feel like a chore).

The map provided with the letter is excellent as is the information as to what you should expect when you attend for your appointment. The receptionist told me i would be seeing a Doctor Aggarwall.

Myself and the Mrs turned up for the appointment to be met with a pleasant smile from he receptionist and asked to take a seat. We were called into the room by the doctor himself who came into the waiting room to fetch us. He examined my skin and told me what he thought it might be, but said i needed a sample taking just to be sure. I was asked if i would like to have it on the day or come back another time. I plumped for the first option and was asked to sit back in the waiting room to wait for the nurse. I was a little nervous, but on meeting the nurse i was instantly made to feel at ease. She introduced herself as Gill and took me into another room where i was going to have the sample taken.

Another nurse was in the room when we got in and Gill introduced her as Sam who helped her out with taking the sample (a refreshing change to be introduced to people). Nurse Gill explained exactly what she was going to do and i was able to ask any questions. I then had the sample taken. Throughout the whole thing both nurses chatted to me and made me feel at ease, so much so i forgot what i was there for and the whole thing was over very quickly. I had a couple of stitches in and was told when i needed them taking out. I was also given some information on what i could and could not do until the stitches were taken out and was asked to make an appointment to come back to see the doctor about the sample results.

Both my wife and i were most impressed with the clinic at Moorfield. From start to finish we were treat with respect and nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff there which we both felt was a refreshing change from our visits to other hospitals, which have a lot to learn from the staff here.
