What I liked
My Stepfather was diagnosised with Cancer this year. He was on Ward 21 for 3 weeks and the nurses were amazing as well as his consultant. Into his second chemotheraphy he developed internal bleeding. After coming through A&E he was admitted to Acute Assessment Ward 12a and then moved to Ward 44. Once again all the nurses and doctors were amazing.
He again developed bleeding on his third Chemo and once again through A&E he was admitted to the ICU ward after going to theatre.
The doctors and nurses on every single one of these wards had passion and commitment to their job. Not only did they provide excellent care to the patient but re-assured our family and explained everything to us in great detail. My mum has spent many hours by my stepfathers side and can only provide praise to all those that we have had contact with.
I just wanted to say Thank You to everyone from Doctors, Nurses and Surgeons for the outstanding care provided to my family at this very difficult time.
Also the mini bus that runs from Pontefract to Pinderfield has been a god send to my mother who does not drive and therefore has not needed to rely on others.
What could be improved
As always it is visiting hours on certain wards where visiting is limited but the nurses have made accomodations where they have been able to.
"Excellent! Thank You"
