We registered with another practice with no problem but are still being told (after 6 months!) that they do not have our previous medical records and that they will not get them.
My husband has severe heart failure and I have high blood pressure and arthritis but our doctor has no information about our medical histories and keeps asking why we are on our medication, if we have tried other (named) medical, how long we have been on various tablets, etc.
I consider myself intelligent but cannot remember names of medication from years ago or why certain medications have caused problems in the past. Nor do I know why my previous doctor chose to prescribe a certain medication in preference to another - all questions I get asked each time I attend the surgery.
"Why can't my new GP get my medical notes?"
