"Amazed and appalled by the care provided by Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust"

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to express my surprise at the standard of care experienced by my friend in Leicester.

In essence she is suffering from complex trauma, after a history of abuse in earlier life. She experiences severe depression and anxiety.

In my opinion, as a service user, she has experienced months and months of confusion and I think quite dodgy practice - including prescription of contra-indicating medication, a long wait for any sort of counselling and therapy, a lack of support from a Community Mental Health Nurse and no access to psychological services.

My friend is in severe distress and has been passed from pillar to post in my opinion.

I believe she requires a proper care plan, crisis intervention contact, a medication review and a general improvement in the way she is treated.

I intend to make contact with the Trust on her behalf. This cannot be tolerated any longer.
