"Disappointed with the care"

i was recently in my local hospital for hip replacement surgery, and was very disappointed at the lack of care. i am a nurse and i felt because of this reason i was left to look after myself most of the time.

It seemed to me that if you were no bother you were neglected a lot of the time, not just myself but other patients. Some of the staff were very good and very professional and caring, where others were very inexperienced and did not seem very caring at all.

Because it was a bank holiday too, there were very few staff, such as physio etc. The food left a lot to be desired, it was the same menu for two weeks, there was nothing to tempt me.
