I had to wait 5 months for an appointment, i came to the appointment after waiting 20 minutes after my appointment time I spoke to one of the nurses to see why I was still waiting and asked them how much later my appointment would be, after waiting 15 minutes for them to find this out I was told they were running about an hour late, so therefore my appointment would be about an hour and 40 minutes late, I had my baby with me whom was getting restless and my partner had to be back at work so I asked them to rearrange my appointment for another date ASAP and that because I couldn't choose the date it would be rearranged so that I could at least have an appointment on time as it was difficult to get to the hospital as it would mean my partner taking me again as I did not drive, I waited another 1 and half months for an appointment came to my appointment in this time my problem had got worse and then once again after waiting half an hour I spoke to a member of staff and explained my partner had to come out of work to take me and he was due back in half an hour so how late were they running this time, again after waiting 10 minutes she came back and told me it would be roughly 45 minutes, I explained my predicament to her and she went and spoke to someone else and they come back and told me the doctor liked to spend a long time with her patients and that I would have to wait 45 mins - 1 hour. I couldn't wait any longer so had to leave without making another appointment so now I have now had my problem for 1 year without it being looked at or dealt with and they say that you should never be worried about speaking to a doctor about your health and get it dealt with, I would if any doctors actually bothered seeing me!!! If the doctor spends that time with his patients surely they should make there appoinment times longer! ridiculous!
