About: Cirencester NHS Treatment Centre

What I liked

Throughout all of my visits I was treated with dignity and respect. At no time was I just "another Patient". All the staff were happy and very helpful. The facility at Cirencester was spotless and while I was recovering from my surgery I was aware of the cleaner visiting the unit twice. on my two visits to the surgical unit I have had the same nurse. They were welcoming, reassuring, and very professional in all she did, at all times I felt in safe hands and there was no rush, but everything was done well. After my last visit to Cirencester for surgery I was admitted to GWH as an emergency admission with sudden onset type 1 diabetes. What a difference! Some days we had care, some days we didn't. The level of care was not consistent and the quality of care was poor.

As a retired SRN I would recommend UKSH to everyone, and encourage the government to try to get all services up to the standard of UKSH

What could be improved

I do not think anything needs changing - even the food is good!!

Anything else?

I feel that at Cirencester you have all the feelings of being in a private clinic, you see the consultant at each visit. he sees you on the day of surgery, before and after the operation, and he always has time to explain everything to you, again treating you with respect.
