What I liked

The staff were very good considering what I'd come in with. I spent 28 hours in the obs unit following an overdose of 64 paracetamol on a Parvolex infusion. I felt bad that I'd come in from a self inflicted injury but the staff still made me feel at home and welcome. They kept coming to check I was all right and put up with disposing of 4 vomit bowls.

Nurses even sat with me and chatted about things for 1/2 hr when it was quiet and I couldn't sleep. Consultant was very polite and explained things well.

What could be improved

A&E sister on admission rude and abrasive. Air con came on overnight making it rather chilly
