"Interfacing with the NHS can be daunting, but that's not our experience at Tiverton"

About: Tiverton and District Hospital

(as a relative),

This is my wife's first appointment at Outpatients at Tiverton. I am sharing my opinion on the service on behalf of my wife but I'm sure she would agree with my very favourable impressions so far.

We're were given an appointment here, my wife was seen within 2 minutes of her appointment time. There was a little issue about organising a second appointment but I was very efficiently resolved at the same time as they escorted by wife into the consulting room.

It's as convenient for us to come here as to Exeter, so we were happy to come here. Our first impressions were that the hospital is pleasant and warm, the environment is very relaxing and quiet - it doesn't feel hectic in the way that some bigger hospitals do.

The staff have always been very good and very personable, obviously we have limited experience so far but I certainly have no complaints.

It can be very intimidating interfacing with the NHS, it's such a huge organisation and of course at the times you access services you feel at your most vulnerable. I've certainly felt very apprehensive before about being treated. That hasn't been our experience of Tiverton Hospital at all, it's been great and we're really reassured by our experiences here.
