"A trapped nerve, and the Honiton Minor Injuries unit"

About: Honiton Hospital / Minor injury unit

(as the patient),

After straightening up from a stretch in my ballet class about a month ago, I had a horrible crippling pain in my back and an uncomfortable numbness.

I went to the Minor Injuries unit the next day, and though I did have to wait a fairly long time, they were very helpful - I was seen by a nurse and then a doctor, who prescribed me a very accurate dose of codeine as a painkiller.

The doctor, whose name I can't recall, was a straightforward person - she was sympathetic, but got right to the point and explained everything to my father and I very clearly.

Taking her advice, I recovered quickly and I'm back in ballet. Thank you! :)
