Q: While you were in hospital did you get your Parkinson's medication on time?
A: Most of the time.
Q: Tell us about your experience of getting your Parkinson's medication when you needed it while you were in hospital. Did staff understand the importance of getting it on time? Did they talk about it? Did you have to mention it first?
A: They had been trained but because they were so short staffed, in my opinion, they could not put what they had been taught into practice.
Q: Tell us about your experiences of being able to manage your own Parkinson's medication in hospital.
A: This was managed by the staff as my husband was too confused to assist.
Q: Tell us if you have any other comments about your stay in hospital.
A: I think that many of their processes hindered good care. The pharmacy was only open at set times and when they found there was insufficient Parkinson's medication - my husband had to go without!!! This happened on the assessment unit and the main ward.
