About: Darlington Memorial Hospital

What I liked

going home eventually

What could be improved

a little bit more comunication wouldnt go a miss.

Anything else?

its nice to know we got such a caring bunch in our local hospital, my baby which is 1 year old had to be taking in and x rayed on her legs , this was after the 4 hour wait and 5 different doctors getting involved , ( why should it take so many ?) for a one year old baby to be prodded the way they did im sure i would have something to say if it was me... anyhow the results of the xray came back , everything all clear great news .. thats what we were told !!! it appears they were wrong , they couldnt realise after having the scan for so many hours there was a fracture, i got sent to the childrens department where i got placed in a room and they did more prodding about , after 8 hours of been in alltogether i was a little concerned so went to ask what was happening , and kept on getting told diferent things , for eg .. no xray has been took ??? there is no fracture but we got told there was ?? back to the waiting room .... to be told nothing and have to ask again !! then it was blood tests we had to wait for , i was sat in the lay area with my little one having a conversation about how the lack of communication gets me , there was a nurse in the room talking to someone else and why she thought to say oh we do try our best , i think her attitude stunk the staff are useless , u have to chase them all the time to find out whats going on , im just lookin forward t the appointment they have made , im sure thats going to be another 13 hours
