"Having blood taken"

About: Community Health Services / Phlebotomy

(as the patient),

This leaflet was given to me after the nurse took blood for various types of arthritus - this was after speaking to my doctor about my ailments i.e. back problems and osteo-arthritius of the hip.

Therefore having blood taken was one part of the process which was speedy, efficient and friendly. What concerns me is that the primary care does not do anti CCP test therefore I have had no choice but to go private for further investigation despite paying into the NHS.

It is very worrying for me as I may need more care but will not be able to continue to go private after this initial consultation. I do not want to give up work I know with the right help I would not have to worry about my future employment etc etc.
