What could be improved
After phoning to see if I should come to A+E I was asked if I could hold, then hung up on. When I finally got through I was told told that they 'can't advise me whether or not I should come in' - which is extremely unhelpful as all I wanted to know is whether it's serious enough for me to go to an A+E department. I then asked whether it was really busy, as I wouldn't want to waste their time if it ended up not being so serious.. to be told that 'they're busy everyday'.
Based on this phone call, during which the I could hear the nurse eating, I would never visit this hospital. If the nurses can't even offer some level of care via the phone, then I dread to think how they treat patients in the department.
"I would never visit here!!"
