I was diagnosed with hep b after a regular blood test, following a brief stay in hospital because of fall resulting in black eye. All health professionals insisted that I got it in one of 2 ways, dirty needle or unprotected sex – none of which I had experienced in 3 to 6 months prior to test, which is the incubation period.
