What I liked
I had a subarachnoid haemorrhage and was transferred from Barnet hospital to the Royal Free hospital in Hamsptead. The care I received in Six South Ward and in ITU was excellent. The doctors and nurses were very competent, extremely professional and really caring. I had a coil embolistion and needed a lot of attention but thanks to the care of this brilliant team I have now recovered completely and I am living a normal life again.
I praise the whole vascular team for their dedication to patient care, from the porter to the radiology surgeon,:each member of their staff is truly caring, competent and dedicated . I recommend the ward nurses who give holistic care day and night indeed and still remain graceful and answer anxious relatives phone calls patiently and visitors' questions with a smile.
What could be improved
I honestly cannot think of how the care I received could have been improved. everyday care was holistic, appropriate and of extremely high quality
Anything else?
The surgeon who performed my coil embolisation is not only amazingly competent: he is also a very caring person: after my operation which lasted more than eight hours, he still was thoughtfull enough to call himself my husband to inform him the procedure was over and it had been successful.
"The treatment I received was of an extremely high..."
