About: Royal Preston Hospital

What I liked

consultant was very nice and careing. very helpfull. i have no complaints about that side of my treatment.

What could be improved

having been told that i needed a blood test i informed the nurse that i am very difficult to get blood out of. i informed her that there was a letter from my doctor refering to the matter. her responce was that she was very good at getting blood out of people no problem. Six attempts later and with me now in a terrible state she decided she did'nt have time to do any more . if it had'nt been for my husband telling her enough was enough she would have fobbed me of to some one else! Why can't the nurses who take blood listen to the patient when they tell them where it is easiest to get a needle in . i can't be the only person who is difficult to get blood out of. can it be justifiable to try six times and fail bespite being told several times where the best place to try was. once again i was made to feel like a piece of meat , a none person. i came away feeling traumatised ,sick and extremly angry. unfortunatly i have to go back in the near future and i am sure i will be treated the same.
