"Booking to see Opthalmic Consultant at Canterbury, East Kent Hospital Trust"

Referred to Opthalmic Unit via my GP. Opted for the 'Choose & Book' system online. Chose date & got confirmation printed off. Then got letter from Hospital offering me a completely different date with no mention of my already booked appointment. Phoned up to query. Was told that this 2nd date was in all likelyhood a preliminary appointment for eye test prior to main visit. 2nd appointment therefore confirmed. A few days later I have received another letter reminding me of an appointment at another time on another completely different date that I have never heard about.

1. the need for 2 appointments was never initially mentioned at all.

2. this is the very first time i have had to make hospital appointment. Not gone well. Does not inspire my confidence in the system or what might well happen next.
