What I liked
The Ward Staff in The Day Proceedure Unit created a caring and relaxed atmosphere which contributed to a sense of well being.
The Anaethetist and Consultan involved, had excellent people skills. Both listened and responded to questions in a positive manner.
What could be improved
Reception: On arrival at 7.50am I was told the Department didn't open until 8am and I would have to go and wait down the corridor. The seats were positioned just outside the restaurant and the smell of breakfast was very tempting to a person who had fasted! When 'opening time' arrived there was a stampede to be first in the queue............maybe it could be made clearer in the appointment letter that it is pointless to arrive early.
Anything else?
Thank you to all concerned. Overall this was a very positive experience which has counteracted for me, all the media bad press which the NHS recieves.
